Location           :  Al-Dhale: 1 in Al-Husha, 1 in Damt, & 1in Juban.
Reports to        : Field Coordinator/MEAL Officer.
 
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
YFCA is a leading, Humanitarian, non-Governmental, non-Profit, non-denominational and impartial Organization established in 1976 to improve woman and child health.  Dramatic changes in YFCA mandate were introduced gradually to accommodate the emerging needs of women, children, youth and vulnerable groups.  From that Health perspective, YFCA programs incorporate wider thematic interventions including WASH, Shelter, and Nutrition, Food Security, Agriculture and Livelihood, Education, Early Recovery and Protection. To pursue its unchanging humanitarian mission, YFCA will thoughtfully continue its expansion process to respond to the ever changing needs of affected communities and vulnerable groups.
 
Scope:
 
The Distribution Assistant will undertake distributions to identified beneficiaries based on needs and final distribution lists.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Conduct registration, verification of the beneficiaries lists according to the selection criteria in coordination with community committees, project team, and stakeholders and local authorities.
  • Undertake the distribution of Shelter/NFIs kits as per final and verified lists, checking lists against IDs.
  • Utilize YFCA standard distributions, ensuring that IDPs and other concerned individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Ensure that all targeted individuals receive full kits and are able to access the distributions.
  • Track and register all distributions and prepare daily and weekly reports.
  • Undertake any public information activities, including taking pictures and collecting human interest stories as requested by the communication officer and MEAL officer.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
  • Working closely with the field coordinator, and Local Authorities, community representatives to identify and select beneficiaries. 
  • Identify and sensitize community people and other stakeholders about project goal, objectives, beneficiary targeting criteria, activities of project etc. 
  • Form community committees, beneficiary selection and registration, preparing beneficiary database, and verification of beneficiaries. 
  • Arrange training for the volunteers, community committee and workers. 
  • Identify Shelter/NFIs distribution points and assess the risk assessments. 
  • Monitor NFI/shelter distribution in the distribution points 
  • Any other task requested by the Field Coordinator. 
 
 
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
  • University degree.
  • 1 year of experience working in the humanitarian sector.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
