Lahj Governorate, Yemen – In the wake of a devastating sandstorm, YFCA stepped up to support internally displaced persons (IDPs) at the Alanad camp in Tuban district. Coordinating with the Executive Unit of IDPs in Lahj Governorate, YFCA distributed 112 non-food item kits to those in need as part of the “Emergency Response for Sandstorm-Displaced IDPs in Lahj, Yemen” project funded by HelpAge through the Global Emergency Fund (GEF).
Each kit includes essential items such as blankets, mattresses, kitchen utensils, and solar energy devices. These supplies provide much-needed relief to families suffering from the sandstorm’s effects.
YFCA’s efforts, supported by its partners, underscore the importance of solidarity and rapid intervention in the face of natural disasters. By providing these essential items, YFCA is helping to alleviate the hardships faced by displaced families and reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian aid.
