In a strategic move to boost the capacities of local implementing partners (LIPs), Yemen and Family Care Association (YFCA) recently conducted a comprehensive two-day training session under the FCDO-funded Project of Building Resilience through integrated community-based and humanitarian systems transformation and leadership in Yemen (BRIGHTLY). The training focused on providing LIPs with the skills to design and implement projects with heightened attention to safe and protected delivery of aids and services, ensuring that the assistance provided respects the dignity of the people in need.
Held in Aden, the workshop saw the participation of 30 representatives from various local partners across different governorates with a special presence of the DKH representative. This initiative is part of a broader localization strategy aimed at empowering LIPs to effectively integrate protected measures into their operations.
In addition to YFCA's training, a session presented by Oxfam covered relevant topics, providing further insights into best practices and effective approaches on safe programming. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to enhancing the role of local partners in delivering meaningful, dignified assistance while strengthening community-based safe and protected frameworks.
