Dramatic changes in YFCA mandate were introduced gradually to accommodate the emerging needs of women, children, youth and vulnerable groups. From that Health perspective, YFCA programs incorporate wider thematic interventions including WASH, Shelter, and Nutrition, Food Security, Agriculture and Livelihood, Education, Early Recovery and Protection. To pursue its unchanging humanitarian mission, YFCA will thoughtfully continue its expansion process to respond to the ever-changing needs of affected communities and vulnerable groups.
Job Purpose:
The Project Field Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of project activities in the field ensuring strong collaboration and coordination with MoPIC, authorities, and stakeholders. S/he will work under the supervision of the Project Manager.

The Project Field Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of project activities in the field ensuring strong collaboration and coordination with MoPIC, authorities, and stakeholders. S/he will work under the supervision of the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the implementation of Shelter and Education project activities in the designated field under the authority of the Project Manager.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local partners, authorities, and communities, engaging them throughout the project.
- Commit to the implementation of the field monitoring system and conduct regular monitoring visits in coordination with the MEAL department.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of project documents, forms, and questionnaires, ensuring timely submission to the Sana’a office.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing Shelter and Education project activities, achievements, challenges, and submit regular monthly and quarterly reports.
- Actively participate in and follow up on project surveys, assessments, BoQs preparations, Implantation, and other relevant activities.
- Develop a weekly plan for the field team aligned with project schedules and available resources.
- Evaluate the performance of the team, Field Support Personnel (FSP), and community volunteers, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Take responsibility for analysing the security situation in the designated area and implement measures to ensure the safety of project personnel and beneficiaries.
- Prepare and maintain a database for Shelter and Education activities, incorporating impact assessment data for reporting and analysis.
- Archive project documents and correspondence systematically for easy reference.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure information is tracked according to program needs and donor requirements.
- Ensure the implementation of the organization’s operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Facilitate efficient communication between the sub-office and the head office.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as determined by the program management, adapting to the dynamic nature of humanitarian projects.
- Prepare weekly report, outlining progress, challenges, and upcoming activities in alignment with the Shelter and Education project schedule.
- Generate monthly reports summarizing overall project progress, achievements, challenges faced, and expectations for the next phase.
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the monthly reports and statements to ensure data integrity before delivery to the Project Officer.
Education, Experience & Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in International Development, Humanitarian Assistance, Social Sciences or related fields.
- Previous experience working with an NGO with at least one year experience in the humanitarian work.
- Very good written and oral communication skills, in English and Arab, including ability to prepare quality reports, formulate positions on sensitive issues and defend them before the authorities.
- Professional knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint…etc.).
- Excellent in communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Proven ability to lead and work effectively with others to achieve results.
- Proven ability in conflict resolution.
- Strong leadership and ability to plan with good organizational skills, multi-task including.
- Knowledge of the issues related to Disaster Risk reduction (DRR)/Early Warning Systems/disaster response in contexts of vulnerability would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of policies and intervention strategies in the area of DRR/disaster response would be an advantage.
