YFCA is a leading, Humanitarian, non-Governmental, non-Profit, non-denominational and impartial Organization established in 1976 to improve woman and child health.  Dramatic changes in YFCA mandate were introduced gradually to accommodate the emerging needs of women, children, youth and vulnerable groups.  From that Health perspective, YFCA programs incorporate wider thematic interventions including WASH, Shelter, and Nutrition, Food Security, Agriculture and Livelihood, Education, Early Recovery and Protection. To pursue its unchanging humanitarian mission, YFCA will thoughtfully continue its expansion process to respond to the ever-changing needs of affected communities and vulnerable groups.
 
Job Purpose:
 
The Cash Distribution Supervisor oversees the cash distribution operations of a humanitarian association, ensuring efficient and transparent delivery of cash assistance to beneficiaries. They plan and coordinate distribution activities, verify beneficiaries, select appropriate cash transfer mechanisms, maintain documentation, and collaborate with stakeholders. The supervisor also ensures compliance, provides staff guidance, monitors operations, and manages risks.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Collaborate with teams to develop distribution plans considering beneficiary needs and operational feasibility.
  • Oversee accurate identification and registration of eligible beneficiaries according to organizational guidelines.
  • Evaluate and select suitable transfer methods like mobile money or physical cash based on context.
  • Coordinate distribution activities, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, document transactions, and prepare regular reports on distribution activities.
  • Liaise with partners and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and implement measures for transparency and risk management.
  • Provide guidance and training to the distribution team for improved skills and knowledge.
  • Implement monitoring mechanisms, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions.
  • Address potential risks, develop security protocols, and safeguard staff, beneficiaries, and assets.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in cash distribution or financial management in a humanitarian context.
  • Strong understanding of cash transfer mechanisms and operational processes.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian principles, guidelines, and standards for cash-based interventions.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and technology.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
