Organization & Background:
YFCA is a leading, Humanitarian, non-Governmental, non-Profit, non-denominational and impartial Organization established in 1976 to improve woman and child health. Dramatic changes in YFCA mandate were introduced gradually to accommodate the emerging needs of women, children, youth, and vulnerable groups.  From that Health perspective, YFCA programs incorporate wider thematic interventions including WASH, Shelter, and Nutrition, Food Security, Agriculture and Livelihood, Education, Early Recovery and Protection. To pursue its unchanging humanitarian mission, YFCA will thoughtfully continue its expansion process to respond to the ever-changing needs of affected communities and vulnerable groups.
 
Role Purpose:
The Project Field Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating project activities in the field. They will work closely with the project team, stakeholders, and community members to ensure the successful implementation of the project. The Field Coordinator will be based in the project location and will report to the Project Manager.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage project activities in the field, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for field staff, stakeholders, and community members, addressing any project-related issues or concerns.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, identify challenges, and provide guidance to field staff.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop work plans, budgets, and procurement plans for field activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field staff, ensuring the quality and accuracy of project deliverables.
  • Facilitate community engagement and participation in project activities, fostering positive relationships and addressing community needs.
  • Ensure compliance with project policies, procedures, and donor requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and report project data and indicators, contributing to project monitoring and evaluation efforts.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proposing solutions and adjustments as needed.
  • Support capacity building initiatives for field staff and community members, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience working with an NGO with at least one year experience in the humanitarian work.
  • Very good written skills, in English and Arab, including ability to prepare quality reports, formulate positions on sensitive issues and defend them before the authorities.
  • Professional knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint…etc.).
  • Excellent in communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Proven ability to lead and work effectively with others to achieve results.
  • Proven ability in conflict resolution.
  • Strong leadership and ability to plan with good organizational skills, multi-task including.
  • Prioritization and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent coordination, reporting and presentation skills.
  • Initiative and ability to follow up on issues.
  • Excellent skills in monitoring implementation of program activities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to field sites.
