Job Purpose:
YFCA is implementing an Integrated Health, WASH, and FSL Project in Alazariq district of Al-Dhale`a governorate and Al-Abdyiah district of Mareb to deliver quality integrated services to the beneficiaries. The mobile team supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of staff and implemented health activities in the targeted village of the second and third catchment areas of the supported health facility in Al-Azariq district. He/she will be responsible for daily timesheets, following up with mobile team staff on their recruitment and contracting. He/she will be closely working with the project management to technically support health and nutrition teams. He/she will supervise the capacity building of mobile team staff and will ensure that quality issues of the project are addressed.
 
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for the implementation of health and nutrition activities.
  • Supervision the training for the mobile team staff, planning and implementation of relevant training especially in Infection, Prevention & Control - IPC, and Basic Life support - BLS.
  • Prepare the mobile clinic monthly plan for the areas that will be visited.
  • Coordinate with the targeted communities and community leader to facilitate the work of mobile team in the targeted locations.
  • Planning and following up with health facility management to provide health services in a good and professional manner within the targeted locations.
  • Submit weekly/monthly statistics and reports to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain good and positive contacts with GHO, DHO, local authorities, and community leaders to ensure their involvement in project activities.
  • Assist the logistician in procurement/delivering of drug/medical supply/medical equipment to the warehouse of the mobile clinic.
  • Provide regular supervision of the emergency medical mobile team including data collection/records of patients and referrals.
  • Ensure linkages and integration of mobile team activities and health facility services.
  • Ensure the use and respect of medical protocols through observation and supervision of the mobile team.
  • Establish good relationships with the different stakeholders in order to have a smooth implementation of the EMMT activities.
  • Supervise and monitor the medicine stock management in the rented warehouse of the medical mobile team.
  • Monitor medicine consumption by establishing/maintaining mechanisms of consumption record and inform the Project Manager in case of any unusual consumption.
  • Coordinate with the M&E staff as necessary to identify project`s activities quality issues.
  • Submit weekly, monthly and comprehensive quarterly reports on implementation of planned health activities to the project manager.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
  • University Degree in in health sciences.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as team leader or supervisor preferably in INGOs.
  • Experience In community health public health (familiar with primary health care package services).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to inquiries from managers in the field.
  • problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a resource-constrained environment are highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication/ reporting skills in English & Arabic.
  • Strong computer skills and command of Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word).
