Division : MEAL.

Reports to: Project MEAL Officer.

A humanitarian, independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that works across Yemen. The organization provides direct assistance for conflict-affected populations, IDPs, host communities and vulnerable groups in the conflict areas. The organization, in partnership with international agencies, takes action during crisis situations, and goes the extra mile to engage in other contexts where its competencies will add value. The organization promotes durable solutions for conflict-affected populations and helps to restore services, education, economic, wellbeing and health.
Job Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of the Project MEAL officer (or as assigned by the MEAL Unit Manager), the Field M&E Assistants is responsible for provision of effective support on the day-to-day implementation of the project's MEAL plan, activities and deliverables, and contribute to achieve and improve the quality of the project. Field M&E Assistants will also support the development of M&E systems, ensuring quality and accountability standards are integrated into the regular MEAL activities. He/she will maintain all data, conduct relevant need assessments, ensure full compliance of rules and regulations for project implementation and developing frequent reports on all project activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of project results.
- Conduct the activities outlined in the projects MEAL Plan.
- Train HFs focal points on data record and entry of the required statistical datasets.
- Provide technical guidance when needed to ensure effective and accurate registration of the statistics in HFs.
- Verify, and validate weekly and monthly health report submitted from HFs.
- Sensitize beneficiaries of the complaint and feedback mechanism (CFM).
- Make sure that CFM have been set in place through efficient channels.
- Responsible of complaints and recommendations receiving, recording and follow-up FCM channels.
- Regularly conduct/analyze/report PDM, PSM, Onsite distribution monitoring and any other monitoring and evaluation studies.
- Conduct verification activity for the registration list provided internally and externally.
- Monthly or when required, open the complaint box and provide signed- opening minutes.
- Preparing monthly M&E report according to work plan reflecting the project progress, achievements in the project, and challenges.
- Conduct monthly field monitoring visits as required using a standardized monitoring and evaluation checklists to assess the overall progress of the projects.
- Ensure project indicators are met, meeting beneficiaries to get their feedback about service rendered.
- Conducted beneficiary’s satisfaction survey to community members who have been treated or utilizing supported services by the organization.
- Any other relevant tasks assigned by Project MEAL Officer.
- Organize, design, plan, and carry out the collection, verification, evaluation, analysis, compilation, and dissemination of program data.
- Compiling and analysing collected data in order to identify lessons learned and any gaps or problems; sharing results in project reflection meetings and reporting any concerns to the appropriate program.
- Ensure timely submission and preparation of the organization and other donor reports with support from other appropriate project staffs.
- Support in preparing bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual programmatic performance reports.
- Assist the MEAL specialist and/or the MEAL Officer to conceptualize, write, and consolidate progress reports, as well as briefing documents and other publications relating to the organization’s implementation.
- Keeps track of beneficiary numbers according to programs indicators, to be submitted at the end of every month.
- Maintain proper filing systems and storage of all project documents, reports and other relevant technical materials (both hard and soft copies)
- Ensuring accuracy of entered data and comparing it with the existing filing system to ensure all records are consistent and aligned.
- Transfer qualitative data provided on surveys and forms into numeric information/ quantitative data when required and if needed.
- Any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Social Sciences, Humanitarian and/or Development Studies, or relevant field. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within the humanitarian field.
- Very good in English written and verbal.
- Experience in working in complex and volatile contexts, including traveling within governate of responsibility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection, including mobile data collection (e.g., Kobo Toolbox).
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point, MS Project, SPSS).
- Excellent inter-personal, communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work with people from various cultural groups and background.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Attention to details and rigor in field and reporting work.
- Demonstrated commitment to meet deadlines and high degree of autonomy in his work.
