Organization & Background:
YFCA is a leading, Humanitarian, non-Governmental, non-Profit, non-denominational, and impartial Organization established in 1976 to improve woman and child health.  Dramatic changes in the YFCA mandate were introduced gradually to accommodate the emerging needs of women, children, youth, and vulnerable groups.  From that Health perspective, YFCA programs incorporate wider thematic interventions including WASH, Shelter, and Nutrition, Food Security, Agriculture and Livelihood, Education, Early Recovery, and Protection. To pursue its unchanging humanitarian mission, YFCA will thoughtfully continue its expansion process to respond to the ever-changing needs of affected communities and vulnerable groups.
 
 
 
Scope:
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of the YHF project # 20594. He/She will also be responsible for the coordination of activities with stakeholders and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This includes managing the day-to-day tasks of the project, such as tracking project progress, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure that all deadlines are met.
 
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and effective management implementation and coordination of assigned projects activities as per the project work plan and as guidance and head office instructions.
  • Follow-up on logistical and administrative arrangements, ensuring timely financial and administrative monitoring of the projects.
  • Monitor specific aspects of the project implementation, identify problems and propose action to expedite the delivery of inputs. Analyze progress and implementation reports, and identify and document significant project events, decisions, problems, or deviations.
  • Formulate the initial draft of required reports on program delivery, including interim and final reports to programmatic results and budgetary expenditure based on established templates and informed projects details, ensuring that reporting information and schedules are available to the Head Office of the organization on time.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project duration by ensuring proper archiving of the project documents within the endorsed software storage and project management systems (ie. Sharepoint, Portal 365).
  • Provide regular updates about the project implementation status internally to the concerned program head, and externally to the donor and the other concerned stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain and strengthen relations with the project concerned local authorities, donors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Actively respond to YFCAs’ quality assurance/control checks on the project deliverables including the compliance, and MEAL activities by securing any requested requirements, attending any meetings, and endorsing the raised corrective recommendations.
  • Support the project team in the coordination of the designed projects with the concerned stakeholders and in mitigating any challenges in the field during the implementation of the planned activities.
  • Collaborate with the project focal points at the governorate level and assist them in addressing any requests from the local authorities and securing the corresponding prerequisites.
  • Maintain and strengthen relations with relevant partners, including UN agencies
  • Represent the organization in relevant meetings with governmental and non-governmental partners at the local level, prepare documentation and report back to the related program/s at the Head office.
  • Supervise and coordinate administrative and financial procedures in the linked YFCA operational hubs.
  • Any other assignments.
