Job Purpose:
- Ensure timely organization of project kick-off and close-out meetings
- Ensure the projects have an implementation strategy and work plan
- Together with CCCM Cluster Sub-National Coordinator, and Project Managers, plan the various stages of project implementation and set direction by prioritizing and organizing activities and resources to achieve project objectives
- Maintains close relations with the Partner’s management in charge of the project feeds (Service Providers)
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
- Coordinate with partners, agencies, and relevant government counterparts with regard to project implementation while representing YFCA coordination meetings as required or instructed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Project Implementation Follow-up
- Oversee the implementation of projects ensuring that technical requirements and quality standards are considered and respected during project implementation
- Anticipate and mitigate risks and implementation delays and provide ad-hoc support to project implementation through troubleshooting and eliminating blocking points
- Ensure that contractual obligations are met in terms of project deliverables
- Responsible for direct supervision of the SMC Committee.
- Engage local communities throughout the project cycle to promote participatory approaches, local capacity building and sustainable solutions;
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate periodic activity reports and per request as required by the Project Manager using approved templates, and provide information as required by Project Management for dissemination and feedback.
- Report on any problems encountered in the field such as project participant complaints, local authority interference, and security threats to staff and activities.
- Project Quality Control
- Ensure the application of a practical field-based M&E system/plan of the project
- Conduct frequent field visits to the project sites to assess activities and ensure efficient use of resources
- Administrative and Operational Management of Project Implementation
- Ensure accurate budget forecasting and expense planning
- To use the project budget properly for the project activities and propose revision in the project budget and action plan if necessary.
- Follow up on all administrative matters related to CCCM activities; including follow up with the Procurement & Logistics Unit to ensure timely procurement of goods and adequate use of resources and other issues.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, Architectural, Community Development, Project Planning and Management.
- Minimum of two years of relevant project experience; Technical specific knowledge from the humanitarian sector.
- Results-oriented attitude, with the ability to establish and supervise technical lines, promote communication, knowledge sharing and culture of learning, manage multiple work streams while ensuring quality.
- Understanding and experience of project monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Commitment to participatory and inclusive methods of working.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
