Wathah and his family live in Amran with their elderly mother. Wathah was happily married and lived with his wife and son who was one at the time. Due to the current situation, Wathah began having problems with his wife’s family. The situation got so bad that his wife had to leave him and went to live with her family taking their child with her leaving Wathah alone and miserable. Wathah did not take it too well. He became very frustrated and violent and took his rage out on his younger siblings. He would beat them and chase them around the house and due to the continues aggression and the collapsing financial situation the family was
going through, his other siblings showed signs of psychological disorder. The youngest of the Saleh family Moslih stopped speaking, his brother Saleh showed signs aggression and hallucinations.

The family could not afford looking after all three brothers all the time nor were they able to support their needs. The eldest of the Saleh family states that he was more than thrilled when he heard about the YFCA Mobile
clinic in Amran, he took all three of his brothers to the clinics in high hopes of their recovery.

“I have a family of my own, I am responsible of feeding my wife and kids and providing for them. I can’t do that and look after my brothers too…It saddens me to see them this way knowing I don’t have much in my hands to help them….
They tried to kill our mother and I was also attached by them several times. They can be very dangerous to themselves and others. I am praying that they can get all the help they need and I really hope they get better soon so they can proceed with their lives and I can proceed with mine"

Wathah, Saleh and Moslih were referred to Sana’a to a specialized hospital, the doctors started their treatments immediately and are seeing improvements in their behavior. All three brother are much calmer, are responsive to their medications and are now much more aware of their surroundings.
