In Yemen, conflict and economic struggles have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, leading to severe malnutrition among children and pregnant and lactating women. In Mawiyah district, the suspension of the preventive nutrition program worsened the situation. However, hope was restored when the Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) resumed the program after three long months of interruption in April 2023. The community health volunteers (CHVs) worked tirelessly to screen and inform beneficiaries about the distribution schedule, leaving no case of malnutrition undetected. The collaboration between YFCA and World Food Programme (WFP) has been instrumental in reducing malnutrition cases and alleviating the suffering of the area's inhabitants.
