Al-Jawf
In a significant stride towards alleviating the water crisis faced by displaced populations and affected communities,YFCA established five new water points in the Sawba camps, located in Alyatimah area of Khab Wa Asha’af district, Al-Jawf Governorate.
This activity is part of the Provision of integrated life-saving health, nutrition, WASH interventions for the most vulnerable communities including cholera outbreak hotspots in Ma'rib Al Wadi at Marib & Khab wa ASha'f at Aljawf. Project funded by YHF.
The newly established water points include 2,000-liter water storage tanks, water basins, plumbing infrastructure, and faucets. Additionally, YFCA begun delivering potable water to the camps via water trucking, addressing the urgent need for reliable access to clean water in the region.
By establishing these water points, YFCA aims to reduce the necessity for women, boys, and girls to travel long distances to fetch water, thereby mitigating potential protection risks and improving the overall well-being of the affected families.
