Within the project of provision of emergency lifesaving health interventions through support to PHCs in Huraidhah and Rakhia districts of Hadhramaut Governorate, which is funded by Muslim Aid. Yemen Family Care Association has provided Huraidhah Hospital in Huraidhah district of Wadi Hadhramaut with a solar power system.
The General Director of Huraidhah district has been grateful to Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) and Muslim Aid (MAUK) for providing this assistance from the beginning of the project, which would enhance the situation in the hospital.
The project coordinator, Mr. Mohammad Bellkser, clarified that Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) provides some additional support to rehabilitate the health hospital in Huraidhah district and enhance the quality of health services. In addition, YFCA is providing the hospital with a solar power system, which was inserted and served since last week.
Also, he has been grateful to the local authority and health offices for their cooperation to overcome the challenges in implementing the project activities.
He pointed out that providing Huraidhah Hospital with a solar power system will contribute in providing the needed electrical energy to facilitate the provision of medical services to patients, and to preserve vaccines and medicines that require certain temperature for preservation. Pointing out that the interruption and weakness of electricity services in the hospital have caused an inability to provide prober health services to patients.
