Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) conducted a training course for three Water Management Committees (WMC) on operating and maintaining rehabilitated water assets in Ataq District, Shabwah Governorate. Trainees were familiarized with YFCA, its goals, project, objectives, type, targeted beneficiaries, and motives of intervention. They learned the importance and duties of the WMC, the mechanism of community supervision and how to report any malfunctions. They were also taught how to conduct maintenance for the water assets when needed. This training was part of a WASH and humanitarian food assistance project funded by the German Humanitarian Assistance (AA) in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) for IDPs, host communities, returnees, and marginalized groups in six districts of Shabwah Governorate-Yemen.
