300 Households Were Targeted with Winterization Support in Marib

In preparation for the winter season and the impact of the harsh weather on people’s living conditions, a main priority for the humanitarian-oriented of Shelter/NFIs sector is the coordination of the Winterization response.  The recent drop in the temperature in Marib governorate has emphasized on the urgent needs and increased vulnerabilities during winter, especially for families living in the IDP hosting sites in substandard shelters.
Therefore, YFCA has started the distribution of Winterization support for the IDPs and most vulnerable communities in Marib Al-Wadi and Marib city districts of Marib governorate. 300 Households, of around 2100 individuals, were targeted to benefit from this intervention. This assistance is meant to consider each individual in the targeted community, as it contains different sizes of winter clothes for males and females of all ages, besides a heating device for each household.
The Winterization items' provision activity is considered as one of the activities which YFCA is implementing under the framework of the ongoing project of the provision of WASH and Shelter life-saving assistance in Marib Gov-Yemen with the support of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
