Working with community committees allows humanitarian actors to work effectively with large populations and to implement activities smoothly.

From this point of view, Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) has formed six community committees in four districts (Ursaylan, Bayhan, Nisab and Jardan districts) of Shabwah Governorate in coordination with local authorities in the targeted areas within the activities of cash for work and unconditional cash. Each community committees consists of six to seven members including males and females.

Those community committees will play an important role in registerating the beneficiaries of the Cash for Work and unconditional cash activities in the targeted areas within the selection criteria.

Cash for work and unconditional cash activities are considered one of the activities for the project of WASH and humanitarian food assistance for IDPs, host communities, returnees, and marginalized groups in six districts of Shabwah Governorate-Yemen, which is funded by the German Federal Foreign Ministry (AA) in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH).
