Awareness and Advocacy Activities

Due to the important role played by the media and awareness campaigns in order to gain support and to ensure success of issues that concern the community, YFCA pays great attention to this aspect through its programmes that focus on raising awareness on and advocating to RH/FP and population issues. Such activities are conducted among women, youth and men through direct sessions, training courses, workshops, awareness campaigns and outreach programmes.

Over the years 1990-2007, and within its annual framework, YFCA has implemented over 5200 awareness sessions in 1680 centers targeted a number that exceeded 200,000 men, women and youth in different institutions such as schools, clubs, camps, prisons, women associations and youth assemblies. In addition to a large number of training courses for service providers. Whereas many advocacy programmes and guiding courses targeted decision makers and religious leaders.
