Woman Empowerment Project

A project implemented by YFCA with support from the German Government (BMZ), 
focused on enhancing women's situation, especially on the legal aspects and the scope of publishing studies and researches as well as conducting surveys aiming at identifying women’s needs 

Project Duration: March - September 2003 
Project Objectives: 
- Identifying the prioritized problems related to women reproductive and legal rights. 
- Developing a strategy for the tackling of the prioritized issues which have an impact on reproductive and legal rights of women. 
- Ensuring the effective usage of the social, legal, and psychological counseling provided by well trained cadres 
  
Project Activities: 
- The project has provided information and counseling on women's reproductive rights. 
- The project has applied the approach of identifying problems using the participation method in order to develop strategies which take into account cultural privacy, with the aim of empowering women to deal with their priority issues and problems such as violence against woman, safe motherhood, and age of marriage . 
The implementing strategy included: 

  - Group session to identify problems and develop strategies. 
 - Individual counseling on woman RH rights.
