Expanding RH Quality Services Program

A joint project funded by UNFPA and implemented by YFCA 
Project Duration2002 - 2006 

Project Objectives: 

- Expanding Reproductive  Health and Family Planning services. 
- Raising awareness on RH/FP among women and men as well as youth in targeted areas. 
- Reducing cultural and social practices which negatively affect Reproductive Health rights in targeted areas. 

Project Activities 

A large number of activities was implemented by YFCA with purpose of achieving the project's three objectives, of these activities are the following: 

- Implementing a large number of awareness seminars for women and youth on repro  ductive health and family planning in Taiz, Hadramout, Aden, Ibb, Amran , Lahj , and Al-Baidha. 
- Conducting training sessions for midwives and nurses on RH issues and infection prevention in targeted areas. 
- Operating an equipped mobile clinic in Taiz and training staff to provide efficient RH/FP services. 
- Conducting training courses for youth on RH/FP. 
-Holding several meetings among doctors and 
pharmacists on reproductive health ,family planning, 
and STDs. 
- Establishing and operating a Reproductive Health 
center in Al Baidha.
