Improve Services Quality Project
A project funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation under the supervision of IPPF with the purpose of applying quality criteria at the administrative and medical levels. By the end of the project, YFCA was honored with the Golden Certificate in Quality of Care in RH services, which is the first to be awarded to such an organization in Yemen.
Project Duration: 2001-2005
Project Objectives:
- Reach high quality services which target the community members.
- Develop and use the manuals and criteria of service provision to improve quality of self - evaluation.
- Improve the staff of YFCA in medical and technical skills.
- Provide the technical information related to RH & FP.
- Do maintenance to the infrastructure of the centers.
- Prepare a supervisory plan for monitoring & evaluation.
- Reach a wider range of the female beneficiaries through high quality services.
Target Centers: Sana’a, Aden, Taiz, Hodeidah, Mukalla and Ibb RH centers
Main Achievements:
- Increased number of female beneficiaries as a result of providing high quality services.
- YFCA staff training needs have been Identified.
- YFCA medical and technical cadres have been trained on the quality criteria.
- YFCA RH centers infrastructure has been Improved.
- The level of supervisory visits has been developed in a continuous and sustainable manner.
- Modern mechanisms in the centers were created to develop the work and maintain sustainability.
