Water is a fundamental resource for human survival, yet a critical shortage of it has been experienced in Ataq District, Shabwa Governate. Women and children have been greatly affected by this shortage, desperately yearning for enough water to survive. This shortage was caused by the lack of diesel and the ongoing conflict, which has resulted in the water supply cutting off. November, 2022 Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) Provision of integrated Health, WASH, Education and Shelter interventions for IDPs and most vulnerable host communities at Ataq & Nisab districts of Shabwah, Alkhalq & Alghayl districts of Aljawf and Marib & Marib Alwadi districts of Marib. YHF WASH Shabwah - Ataq Saleh Abdullah, a Technician at LWSC-Ataq Branch, had been crying out for help for what felt like an eternity, desperately trying to repair the water assets of Al-Shabakah. Unfortunately, his pleas seemed to fall on deaf ears. No one was willing to lend him a hand. Day after day, the sadness and despair in Saleh’s heart only seemed to intensify.
