The cash-for-work program implemented by Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA), in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) and financed by German Humanitarian Assistance (AA), has helped affected households in various governorates of the Republic of Yemen by increasing their income and purchasing power. It has also been a key in restoring community infrastructures and improving services access. In Shabwah governorate, YFCA supported the community with resources and skills to enable them to recover and make their lives better. This included building a diversion barrier in Garban area, a defense gabion in Fiq and Al-Roog villages in Al-Shula area, and finally a solar energy system with a water asset protection in Nisab of Al-Hanak area
