The COVID-19 pandemic has helped us to better understand the particular needs of elderly individuals, who are more vulnerable to severe sickness and infection, as well as the need for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). To respond to these needs, YFCA works closely with HelpAge to provide emergency WASH supplies and services to elderly individuals living in humanitarian crises in Marib Gov-Yemen. This requires that aid to be delivered in an inclusive manner, so that elderly individuals are not left behind. They should have equal access to water and sanitation amenities, and be provided with awareness messages about hygiene and sanitation.
