YFCA has distributed Winterization support to 60 households; of around 420 individuals, in Marib city districts of Marib governorate. This assistance consists of different sizes of winter clothes for males and females and of all ages, besides a heating device for each household. This activity is part of YFCA's ongoing project of providing WASH, Shelter, and protection life-saving assistance in Marib Gov-Yemen, which is funded by HelpAge International.
Given the notable drop in temperature in winter, this project is of utmost importance to support the health conditions of the elderly, a main priority for the humanitarian-oriented Shelter/NFIs sector. As such, the Winterization response is urgently needed in Marib, especially for the elderly living in substandard shelters.
