Shabwah, In coordination with the General Authority for Rural Water Projects (GARWSP), YFCA provided operational support to two water supply systems in Shabwah Governorate. Nataq water supply system in Ar Rawdah district and the Souk Gul Al-Raida water supply system in Mayfa’ah district have been operational since March 2023, with a total fuel support of 2,000 liters.
This initiative is part of the ongoing Multi-sectoral Emergency Response project aimed at supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other vulnerable groups in Ad Dali’ and Shabwah Governorates. The project is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH).
The newly operational water supply systems benefit 4,650 individuals, ensuring they have access to safe drinking water. This effort underscores the commitment of YFCA and its partners to address the urgent water needs of communities in Yemen, particularly in rural and conflict-affected areas.
By enhancing water infrastructure, the project aims to improve the overall health and well-being of the targeted populations, providing a vital resource that is essential for daily life and resilience in the face of ongoing challenges.
